Okay guys, Mr. and I are leaving in the end of August to live in the land of Flint Michigan.

Thus, we will be teaching our last set of classes through Continuing Studies starting the week of July 13th. If you want to come be with us one last time please contact Kendall college at 616-451-2787. If you cannot make it to one of these classes you can come to the Open House on Friday July 31st from 6-8pm. We would LOVE to say goodbye to you all - so whatever you can make it to would be awesome!

So, why are doing this? For a few reasons really...

First off, we are starting to do too many cons and they are beginning to intersect with too many of our classes. This is difficult to deal with for us, our students, and Continuing Studies itself.

Secondly, even though The Uniques is still going really strong - with the economy the way it is - teaching itself has gone from a reliable side job to something that may or may not run every semester. Thus making it too much of a question mark to whether or not we'll be able to count on that important income.

Thirdly, again, because the economy is so bad several large jobs (not our commissions from you individual people - you're awesome and always pay on time - so big thank you!) never paid, so all together we are owed thousands of dollars we will probably never see. Sad but true.

All this mixed together means that we just don't have the financial stability to stay in Grand Rapids anymore. And with an apartment we in Flint provided by Adam's parents we can live in for $200 a month vs. $700+ to live here. And well we're out there we're going to bump our convention going up to 20 a year rather then our current 12. All of these plus being closer to the airport and closer to our driving destinations will hopefully make our lives a little easier with stress - but harder because we're going to miss all of you so much.

In no way was this an easy decision to make and there was a lot of tears shed just thinking of not seeing you all every Saturday or during the summer. But maybe they'll be some way to come see you all again at sometime. Possibly we'll come do talks at Kendall from time to time - who knows.
