Yep, that's right - as of tomorrow we're headed off to see our great friends, the amazing Chris and Jennifer, then to see some of Comfort's family, and then to the wonderful world of Chicago once more for Anime Central! A show we've grown to love in oh so many ways! As you can see below, we'll once more be in Artist Alley at tables 213-214 right at the front of the show. We'll literally be one of the first things you see!

We also will be running our three day Creating Your Comic from Concept to Publication panels. Friday will be Writing and Marketing. Saturday will be Character Design and Page Layout. And Sunday will be Color and Lettering! It's been a while since we've been able to rock out all three and are super psyched to do it again!

Lastly, as with every year at Acen, we did artwork for them. This year we did the three day badge, the back of the book poster for 2014, and the CTA bus ads which you can see below!



We hope to see you at the show! And for those of you going to Motor City this weekend - so sorry we couldn't be there...but we will be at Detroit Fanfare, Youmacon, and Jafax. So if you'll have more ways to catch us on the Michigan Con scene.

Greetings and salutations fair readers! We're in a most excellent mood because it's time for on of our favorite shows of the year - C2E2! Not only because it's a great show run by some really wonderful people, but we are also going to be seeing a ton of friends there and we cannot wait!!!

And this year, not only are we in Artist Alley (Table R-9), not only are we guests of the shows (so fancy), but we're also running our 'Let's Make a Character' panel on Friday night at 5:15-6:15pm!

Tomorrow we'll be getting on a flight to Seattle for one of the best, if not the best, comic convention of the year - Emerald City Comic con! It's one we look forward to every year, and not just because it's a great show - but because we get to visit our great friends Jeff 'TheChamba' Cruz, Royce 'FooRay' Southerland, and Kanoe Barlow! And we'll be rooming with the amazing Bryan J.L. Glass, Drew Gaska, and Chandra Free. Friends like these make everything awesomer - and we cannot wait to go!

This year there will be two show floors, so make sure to check your floor plans before you come to find us. We'll be in Artist Alley table J-07.



Also at the show we'll be debuting two new prints: A big ode to classic Star Wars by :AdamWithers: and a small print showing our love for Legend of Korra by me. Old fandom! New fandom! All can be yours if you track us down during our convention run.

Good day all! It's February, and that means it's time go to our first con! This year we're kicking things off with a small yet delightful show that we've been invited as special guests to called, AlmaCon! It'll be held this weekend (Feb. 8-10th) at Alma College, and if you're in the area we really hope you'll stop by and say hi to us.



We're going to be in the dealers/artist area in the Tyler Van Dusen building. We'll also be doing our panel on 'Creating your Comic/Manga from Concept to Publication' and our 'Let's Make a Character' panel. Overall, this should be a really fun, low impact weekend to start the con year off with!

It’s been too long, but finally Rainbow in the Dark #8 is finished and released! The wait is over for the rocket-ride to the climax of the series, and now you can snag the latest issue in PDF or CBZ format for just 99¢.



The band is split and cast to the winds. Luke begins a quest to find his lost and pregnant love, Kenji struggles to hold the camp together, and Donna and Raina travel the world in search of help. The mysterious power is at last unlocked, and the Veratu confronts Donna with a fateful choice that could change everything. Death, life, and rock and roll in the penultimate chapter of the Rainbow in the Dark saga!



This one is a particularly lush issue, art-wise. We’ve learned a lot of things leading up to this issue that pushed it over the top in some ways we haven’t been able to do in other comics. We’re really proud of how it looks, and hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we did.



The issue’s pin-up features Luke and Becky, and comes from the disgustingly talented , a teenager who will blow your gd mind. We take particular pleasure in featuring her work, as young Riley was a student of ours from our teaching days. We only wish we could take more credit for how awesome she is, but her talent comes almost completely from her own hard work and determination. Check out her online gallery and prepare to be impressed.

That’s all, folks. Issue 8 down, only one more to go to complete the RitD story. If you’ve enjoyed it so far, we’ve got a real barn-burner for a finale. Over 40 pages and counting, we’ll see how big it winds up when it’s done!

It's Election Day in here in the U.S. of A - time to exercise the single most powerful ability you'll ever have. Indeed, the most important responsibility you carry as a citizen of this country. They who don't vote forfeit their right to bitch, and I KNOW all you people in internet land love to be able to bitch about stuff, right?

But don't just focus on presidential politics. The actions of your local and state legislatures and judges will have far, FAR more impact on your daily life than the majority of what happens in Washington D.C. Take a moment and look up what's on your ballot, who the candidates are, what the state ballot initiatives are, and figure out what's what and where you stand. So go, vote, be a part of this society, and earn your right to be an American. F#^% yeah.

Well, this is it - the last convention of the year! *phew*

And the last show of the year (unless a miracle happens with Youmacon) is Detroit Fanfare in Dearborn Michigan which start today and runs through Sunday. Fanfare is a smaller show, but man, they're really trying to make a great one. They've got a beautiful show floor, panels, and events. Not something most comic shows have these days, but these dudes are really rockin' it!

Also, this is where the award ceremony for the Shel Dorf awards will be held - so wish us luck!

So if you go to the show, make sure to stop by our table - we're in the Great Lakes Ballroom at table 132!<br

We are off to Wizard Ohio (formerly known as Mid-Ohio Comic Con) this weekend! We'll be in Artist Alley at table 1132 selling comics, prints, and sketching until our hands shrivel up and fall off! All for you, our people!

Well, it's time for us to once more hit that old dusty trail and head off to the land of Atlanta for Dragon*Con...and then immediately drive up to Philadelphia to spend time with our beloved Bryan and Judy Glass...and then over to Baltimore Comic Con...and then finally home. All in all this will be a 2 week trip! *phew*

For both shows we'll be doing what we always do, selling books, prints, and drawing sketches until the cows come home! At Dragon*Con we'll be in the Comics and Pop Art Alley at Table TBL 47. Also at Dragon*Con we'll be running, as well as be a part of, several panels throughout the show: Rise of the Independent, Strong Women in Comics, The Creation of a Character (we're particularly excited about this one), and The Status of Women in Mainstream Comics. Totally worth checking out, it should be a freaking blast! You can check out the schedule by downloading the pocket Dragon*Con program here!




After Dragon*Con we head to Baltimore Comic Con where we'll again, be selling books, prints, and doing crazy amounts of sketches. We'll also be running our Creating Comic panel later in the day on Saturday!

But, of super particular significance, is the fact that the Harvey Awards (where we're up for Best Cartoonist) are to be held at that show Saturday night. We're nervous and excited all at the same time. If you're at the show make sure to stop by Table A205 in Artist Alley and wish us luck!
