Before I do any big project I always try to get to know the characters. Thus I get some reference and try to come up white a consistent way that I’m going to recreate them in my own style. This is the set of sketches I did for my Women of Marvel poster.

i love this! you're so talented! i'd glad you included 'shadowcat' instead of just 'kitty pride' cos i hate it when they don't use her codename (a la 'xmen the last stand';). nice job!
